Meals for one person need not be a sad affair. I often have my meals alone as my family is out for the day. Taking the time to set out my pretty dishes and arranging flowers helps to set the correct mood.
A simple breakfast of chamomile tea, gluten free toast and sour cherry preserves is all the more enjoyable when I make the extra effort. Opening up my shutters and letting the soft morning light shine in helps to lift my mood.
Even though I spend many of my days alone, I’m never completely alone. My sweet Miss Tasha kitty always keeps me company. Many of my meals for one are highlighted by her cute presence at the table. She often follows me around my home as my day unfolds.
